EyeSeeMe African-American Children Bookstore
EyeSeeMe is the only children’s bookstore devoted exclusively to promoting positive African American Images and African American History while advocating for Academic Excellence.
Once again, the Connected St. Louis network enjoyed another amazing day of supporting our city’s Black businesses and getting to know one another. A positive shift has been taking place over the past few months in the network. We must say — there are many influential people in this city who possess knowledge and resources to play a major role in St. Louis’ culture shift. This past April, together, again we were able to make a difference in support of EyeeSeeMe Bookstore in University City.
Why was this event so important?
EyeSeeMe is one of the only Black bookstores in St. Louis. They are not the ONLY, but on of the few, stocked with a diverse collection of children and teen books portraying positive images of African-American story characters.
Most everyone who attended the event have never been to EyeSeeMe. Let’s just say everyone enlightened!
The owners welcomed everyone with open arms and even held a raffle for free giveaways!
Connected St. Louis and EyeSeeMe both had an opportunity to speak to a large group of like-minded individuals about teamwork, vision, and growth.
